The Louis Vuitton Foundation: A Symphony of Glass and Light

In the Bois de Boulogne, like a symphony of glass and light, rises the Louis Vuitton Foundation. This masterpiece of modern architecture, designed by Frank Gehry, appears as a crystalline dream floating between sky and earth. Another memorable anecdote is related to the exhibition “Keys to a Passion” in 2014. For this inaugural exhibition, the Foundation brought together works of great historical and artistic importance, including Picasso’s famous “Guernica.” At the time, a visitor, struck by the evocative power of this monumental painting, wrote in the guest book: “This place, with its works, makes me understand the world differently, makes me see beyond appearances.”

The Louis Vuitton Foundation doesn’t just exhibit; it also serves as a venue for innovative artistic performances. In 2017, choreographer Lucinda Childs presented a series of contemporary dance performances, using the architectural spaces of the building as a living stage. Dancers, moving among the visitors, transformed each gallery into a dynamic space, blending movement and contemplation.
